Project Scope
- Six years of construction -

During the first six years of the program, the initial development phase, our goal is to create one master neighborhood containing 372 homes. Every historic home will be fully renovated and more than 200 new homes will be constructed. Renovations will include major improvements such as upgraded kitchens, carpeting, vinyl flooring, new electrical fixtures and plumbing hardware.

The majority of the historic homes at Aberdeen Proving Ground were built are between 50 to 90 years ago and vary in size. Picerne Military Housing's newly constructed homes will be spacious averaging 1,853 square feet. New homes will have three or four bedrooms, feature 2.5 baths, a separate dining room, family room, breakfast nook and storage.

We have gone to great lengths during the planning phase to ensure that your neighborhood is well-designed and to ensure so that each family will receive personalized service from a dedicated neighborhood and maintenance team.

These teams will eventually be located in the Neighborhood Center at the "heart" of the neighborhood. The Neighborhood Center will include amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness center, computer lab, lounge area, community room, maintenance facility, playground, picnic area and other open spaces for community activity.

The partnership is long-term and will focus on the sustainability of housing and enhance the quality of family and community life. Construction will be focused on safety, low environmental impact and reduced disruptions for families. Continual upgrading, renovation and replacement will take place throughout the next 50 years.
